Rev. Wright - Mad at God?

I meant to comment on this earlier, but I was too busy. But now that I have a few minutes . . .

In his response to a question at the National Press Club, Rev. Jeremiah Wright made a curious comment in connection to his past praise of Louis Farrakhan, leader of The Nation of Islam. He said, and I quote . . . "Farrakhan didn't put chains on me . . . enslave me . . . didn't make me this color."

Make me this color?!? Hmmm.

Now, if I didn't know better, this sounds like Rev. Wright resents being black. On the surface, this sounds like a backhanded reproach at God for "making me this color." As if being black was something of which to be ashamed.

I think Rev. Wright has yet some more 'splainin' to do.
