Obama and Chicago Politics

This is today's must-read column. In it, John Kass of the Chicago Tribune draws a pretty clear picture of what lies behind Barack Obama's meteoric ascent to the top of the political world.

Take it from an Illinois resident. You don't want Chicago politics running the country.

You'd think someone in the mainstream media would be looking into the meteoric rise of a politician from the most notoriously corrupt city in the country. You'd think.

"Ignore that man behind the curtain!"

I don't know.

Since so many dead people are able to vote in Chicago, maybe Obama's health care plan is something worth looking at. ;)

Whoa, Stanley! What happened to the headdress photo?? It was so unique!

I may go back to the headdress but in a new photo. I saw a TV special on gang activity in L.A. and didn't want to been seen as supporting in any way those murderous thugs.

Of course, my photo was mocking them so maybe it was OK.

Well, you could always do a mock mug shot, or better yet, show someone with gang colors sitting in the electric chair, LOL.

BTW, speaking of thugs..if Obama doesn't win the election, look for a LOT of violence to break out. Stay out of Watts.

I like the mug shot and electric chair ideas.

I'm expecting violence as well, win or lose, particularly in parts of L.A. and Detroit.

If it spreads to my neck of the woods...

Well, let's just say I'll be more than prepared.
