Okay, call me cynical.
I see from the news this morning that President Obama has sent a video message to Iran. While he's speaking, there is text in Farsi running at the bottom of the screen.
It would be interesting to have that Farsi text translated to see if it matches what Obama is saying.
Okay, I'm cynical.

As much as he tries, President Obama will in all likelihood not receive an invitation to compete in the Special Olympics.
I heard about that little flap. Amazing, isn't it?
Just imagine what would happen if a Republican or conservative had said such a thing.
Pretty amazing.
But at least he apologized...in a way that was very moving.

Are you thinking possibly of the Adventure of the Polish Translator? (There was an incident, either with Jimmy Earl, or Gerald Ford, I think the former, where they got a dud translator once. Interestingness ensued.)
