Turkey Wants a Picnic

I was torn today between doing a serious post on the Supreme Court and Obamacare, or having some fun. I elected for the fun option.

This shot was taken by a co-worker out the back door of our office in Loves Park, IL. If you look closely at the picnic table, you'll see a tom turkey looking wistfully off into the woods and creek behind the property. I would have invited him in for a snack, but didn't know he had paid us a visit until the photo got emailed around. He could be our office mascot.

We've had plenty of wildlife around since the office was built in the early 90s. Back then, we were virtually the only ones out there and the area was nothing but pasture and woods. It's pretty much all built up now, except for this particular area and the creek in back. Most of the wildlife seldom comes by these days, but we did have a coyote amble by a month ago. Fun stuff to see.

Was I speaking of Obamacare earlier in the post? Ooops, no. I was talking about a turkey.
